A batching plant is a place devoted to producing or processing concrete, so that a batching plant is often referred to as a concrete factory. All the equipment in the batching unit is specifically designed to produce ready-mix concrete or ready-mix concrete by mixing the ingredients to make a concrete mix.
The characteristics of the concrete produced are adjusted to the intended use of the concrete mix to be used. Several forms of use of the concrete mix produced from the batching plant are such as for airport runways, highways, and housing. The characteristics of the concrete mixture used are of course different for the various types of use.
